Tate Modern

Last year, I visited the Tate Modern gallery in London. I thoroughly enjoyed this visit. Though I didn't have as much time in the building as I would have liked, I was still able to see so much of the galleries. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. It's a big old power plant with an enormous chimney in the middle of it. Its also overlooking the Thames, which is a lovely view. The way they have used the inside space is also great. The rooms are large and spacious and the whole place has a very open feel to it.

The work being displayed at the Tate Modern was  really well presented. The rooms were clearly themed, meaning that the work flowed and was easy to follow. It was really interesting to see all the different themes. It helped me to discover lots more artists that I had never really known about before. One of my favourite pieces that I saw was Endless Rhythm by Robert Delaunay. It's so intriguing. I couldn't stop looking at it. I saw many wonderful pieces of art but that one was definitely one of the best that I saw.

One thing that I think that could be improved is that after travelling to London, I was quite tired, and the different rooms are a very long walk going the whole way round. I think that it would be beneficial to have more seating areas around the rooms. This would also be helpful if I wanted to sit and draw from the pieces. Overall, I really enjoyed this visit and it greatly inspired me.
